The Pentecostals of Murfreesboro Staff
Phil DePriest, Senior Pastor Pastor DePriest began his tenure with TPOM in 1982, having served in several capacities until becoming Pastor in April of 1992. He brings to the position a wide range of experience from years of working in corporate America, non-profit organizations and international missions. He also has a wide ranging technical experience including 8 years in video production where he was a part of producing more than 1,800 shows for several networks. His tenure at TPOM has seen consistent growth and the starting of 6 daughter churches. Pastor DePriest is blessed to be married to Carla and they have two sons, John and Tyler. Their home is also the personal domain of a rather precocious Schnauzer named Krystal.
Kevin Allen, Family Pastor Kevin Allen is a native to Tennessee and has attended TPOM since 1981. He entered into ministry in 1996 and has worked actively in two of our daughter churches, Woodbury's Pentecostals and Mt. Juliet Church Alive. Prior to joining the full-time staff at TPOM in 2004, Kevin previously worked as a Medical Sonographer for over ten years. Kevin and his wife Chassidy have two daughters, Kaylee and Avery.
Luke Miller, Student Pastor Luke comes to Murfreesboro from the mountains of Pennsylvania in a little town called Normalville, yes that is actually the name of the town! Luke has actively been involved in student ministry for 3 years and considers the opportunity to influence the lives of teenagers a great honor. Four of his greatest passions include God, student ministry, politics, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Luke also enjoys surfing the web, reading books, and playing the guitar. He has recently fallen in love with Sirius radio and wonders why it took him so long to convert. He is engaged to the most amazing woman in the entire world.
Javier Alvarez, Spanish Pastor Javier has been leading the Spanish Ministry at TPOM for four years and has built a strong congregation of Spanish speaking people from our community. He previously played professional soccer and was also the Youth President of Uruguay in South America before moving to the United States in 2004.
Eddie & Regina Sloan, Music Ministers Eddie & Regina Sloan have been Ministers of Music at The Pentecostals of Murfreesboro for the past 12 years. The praise team, two choirs, ensemble, special music, drama and children’s choir directed by the Sloans help create the atmosphere of praise and worship that is so vital to the biblical culture of The Pentecostals. Through their involvement and leadership, they are passing this heritage on to their children, Maggie and Lincoln.
Pam Richards, Church Administrator Pam Richards serves as the Administrator at TPOM and has been a part of the staff since 1992. It is one of the great joys of her life to serve in this ministry and use the skills God has blessed her with to help further the work in Murfreesboro. Pam and her husband, Gary, been a part of the TPOM family since 1981. They have two daughters, Crystal and Emily, and one very special granddaughter, Lilla (who rules the roost!).
Peggy Saling, Church Secretary Peggy Saling has been the secretary of TPOM for over eight years now and is the first friendly voice one hears when contacting our church. She is originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, but moved to Murfreesboro in 1998. She has two sons and three grandsons (that she is very fond of), Jeff, Taylor and Gentry. Peggy is an adamant reader and bird feeder/watcher. Peggy has been married to her husband Ed Saling for over 40 years.
